Test Case Management - Basic workflow
Test Case Management - Basic workflow
Description:
The following scenario will explain some of tests case workflow capabilities you can gain using informUp system.

Scenario:
Our development cycle reached its stabilization phase (QA), now we need to write test cases, excute tests, monitor stabilization phase in order to track problems, delays, risk area etc…

Progression test (new feature test cases).
1. Each and every QA engineer can create/edit/clone test case. Tests can be managed in folders and can be linked to requirements as well - each company can choose the proper way or work in both ways.

2. QA Team leader or other authority in the organization (PM/DEV) will review test cases to verify our QA engineers are on track and focused, the authority will change approved test status from “New” to “Ready”, that’s mean the QA engineer can start execute the tests.

3. QA Team leader will copy the test cases from 'Tests Lab' to 'Tests Run' and will assigned the tests the to the QA for execution.

4. QA engineer execute tests mark result Pass/Failed and tested version/build.

5. During execution we want to track testing progress, it can be done by using the report button on the main tool bar; another option is to create report in the dashboard tab.

Tips:
1. You can mark tests with specific flag like type(regression, sanity etc...) and use this flag to filter all tests. You can actually get any filter on your tests tree.
2. Using the 'Copy & Link' option you can eaily craete and link a new bug to existing test.
